The hydraulic modulator
|
On the models equipped ABS, before рассоединением hydraulic brake lines without fail disconnect the storage battery. To connect the battery follows only after connection of all hydraulic lines of a brake path. Infringement of the given requirement is fraught with hit in the hydraulic modulator of air, which removal in the course of usual prorolling of system (the Section text see) it is not obviously possible and demands use of a special electronic tester (VAG 1552).

REMOVAL
|
|
Prepare stoppers for hermetic sealing opened штуцерных connections. At assemblage new fixing nuts will be necessary also. |
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. For the purpose of minimisation of losses of a hydraulic liquid uncover in tank GTTS, enclose under it a polyethylene stopper and densely screw on a place.
2. Release a clamp and disunite an electric socket on the block of the hydraulic modulator.
3. Carefully wipe surfaces ГТЦ and the modulator round unions of connection of brake lines. Mark tubes subject to a detachment.
4. Give накидные nuts штуцерных connections of the hydraulic lines connecting ГТЦ with the modulator. Separate lines from reception unions and remove them from the car. At once закупорьте the open ends of unions.

Nuts can appear tightened hardly enough that is why, in order to avoid a rounding off шлицов it is necessary to turn on them by means of special накидного a key with a cutting head. Prepare for gathering of a spilt liquid. |
5. Give штуцерные nuts and disconnect the remained four brake tubes from the hydraulic modulator. Закупорьте the open ends of unions.
6. Give nuts of fastening of an arm of the modulator to the block of the servo-driver of the vacuum amplifier of brakes. Supporting ГТЦ, remove the modulator from the place. |

INSTALLATION
|
Installation is made upside-down. Special attention give to following moments:
a) do not forget to replace fixing nuts and track, that they have been tightened with demanded effort;
b) Before connection of brake lines fill them (and unions on the modulator) with a fresh hydraulic liquid (the Section Prorolling of hydraulic system see). Track correctness of connection of tubes and reliability of a tightening накидных nuts;
c) Track reliability of fixing of an electric socket a clip;
d) Pump over hydraulic system (the Section Prorolling of hydraulic system see) and connect a negative wire to the battery;
e) At the first possibility drive away the car on a car repair shop for check испрвности functioning ABS with application of the special diagnostic equipment. |

The electronic block of management (ECU)
REMOVAL
|
|
Prepare stoppers for hermetic sealing opened штуцерных connections after removal of branch ECU from the hydraulic modulator. |
1. Remove assemblage of the hydraulic modulator with ECU.
2. Turn out bolts of fastening ECU to the basis of the hydraulic modulator. Release clamps and separate ECU from the modulator. At once закупорьте in advance prepared stoppers the open ends of unions on the modulator.

Do not incline and do not overturn removed from modulator ECU in order to avoid damage клапанных fingers. |

INSTALLATION
|
Installation is made upside-down.
|
At joining ECU with the modulator observe extreme care. In a diagonal order having tightened with demanded effort fixing bolts, establish the hydraulic modulator on the regular place on the car. |

Gauges of forward wheels
REMOVAL
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Cock a lay brake, then поддомкратьте redock of the car and establish it on props. Remove a corresponding forward wheel.
3. Walk from the gauge on electroconducting, liberating it from intermediate clamps and remembering a lining route. Disunite an electric socket.
4. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the gauge with ступичной assemblages. |

INSTALLATION
|
1. Carefully smooth out interfaced surfaces of the gauge and ступичной assemblages, then slightly grease with universal greasing of type Gleitmo 165 or Wolfracote nest walls under gauge landing in a nave.
2. Check up a condition of a working element of the gauge, then plant last on the regular place in ступичную assemblage. Screw a fixing bolt and tighten it with demanded effort.
3. Moving along electroconducting, fix it in all provided intermediate clamps. Connect an electric socket. Establish into place a wheel, lower the car on the earth and tighten wheel bolts with demanded effort. |

Gauges of back wheels
REMOVAL
|
1. Prop up wedges forward wheels, then поддомкратьте a back of the car and establish it on props. Remove a corresponding back wheel.
2. Walk from the gauge on electroconducting, liberating it from intermediate clamps and remembering a lining route. Disunite an electric socket.
3. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove the gauge from a bridge nave. |

|
