Removal, check of a condition and flywheel installation

The general information

The flywheel is made of a steel and equipped by a gear wreath. Fastens to a flange of a cranked shaft six bolts М10х1 with heads of type TORX. The flywheel is calculated on installation of assemblage of coupling in diameter of 190 mm. Boltovye apertures are located asymmetrically that defines unambiguity of landing of the flywheel which balancing is made in gathering with cranked shaft. The carving part of bolts at assemblage is greased with fixing hermetic of type Loctite 574 or Loctite 270.

At installation of a gear wreath on a flywheel last is necessary for warming up to temperature 400°С.

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a transmission (the Transmission see the Head) and coupling assemblage (Coupling see the Head).

2. By means of the clamp made of a thick metal plate (see an accompanying illustration) jam a gear wreath of a flywheel, having blocked last from проворачивания in process отдавания bolts of its fastening. Alternatively the flywheel can be blocked by means of a metal plate, приболченной between it and a coupling dome. In order to avoid balancing infringement at assemblage mark flywheel position in relation to an end face of a pin of a cranked shaft

3. Turn out fixing bolts and by means of the assistant remove a heavy flywheel.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check up a condition interfaced to a disk of coupling of a surface of a flywheel. In case of revealing of deep scratches, cracks, задиров and other mechanical damages the flywheel is subject to replacement, or should be given in проточку (consult at experts of car-care centre).
2. Attentively examine a gear wreath of a flywheel. In case of deterioration or loss of teeths it is necessary to replace a wreath in the conditions of a car-care centre workshop.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Carefully smooth out interfaced surfaces of a flywheel and a pin of a cranked shaft. Having banished a tap carving apertures in an end face of a pin of a cranked shaft, remove from them the rests of fixing hermetic and corrosion products.

At absence of near at hand suitable tap of an aperture can be cleaned by means of an old bolt with sawn through along a carving part, like described in Section Replacement of epiploons of a cranked shaft (but with a head).

2. If new fixing bolts are not missed the mark by fixing structure on manufacturer, slightly grease their carving part with suitable hermetic.

3. Establish a flywheel on a pin of a cranked shaft according to the landing labels put in the course of dismantle.

The new flywheel can be established in any position. Screw bolts and tighten them, while only by hand.

4. One of offered above ways block a flywheel from проворачивания, then tighten fixing bolts with demanded effort.

5. Establish to the place of coupling and transmission assemblage (Heads Coupling and the Transmission see).
