Structure and design
The carburettor is intended for preparation of an air-fuel mix and its dosed out giving in chambers of combustion depending on current loading and engine turns.
Used for a complete set of considered models of the car carburettor Pierburg 2E3/Jikov 28-30 LEKR is equipped by the semi-automatic system of start providing reliable start of the engine in all temperature conditions typical for a midland, and also allows to begin movement right after cold start. Number defining a mode of functioning of semiautomatics of start of factors concern:
a) air Temperature;
b) Temperature of a cooling liquid of the engine;
c) Depth of depression in the inlet pipeline.
After start of the engine mix pauperisation is made in two stages at serviceable functioning of system start the maximum from the second attempt even in frosty weather is made with the first, at air temperature-20°S.
The carburettor design is presented on illustrations. Following devices concern number of the basic components of the carburettor:
a) the Semi-automatic starting arrangement;
b) the System of idling providing stability of turns of idling of the engine (800 ÷ 850 in a minute);
c) the Transitive system chambers I providing smooth increase of turns of the engine at opening throttle заслонки II;
d) System of enrichment of an air-fuel mix (эконостатом) at full loading;
e) the Accelerating pump мембранного type with a mechanical drive;
f) Electromagnetic запорный the valve blocking giving of fuel in the carburettor after deenergizing of ignition, and also at operation экономайзера compulsory idling (ЭПХ);
g) Poplavkovaja the chamber supporting set level of fuel in the carburettor.
Under the needle valve поплавковой chambers the filtering element which grid makes thin clearing of fuel submitted to the carburettor settles down.
In the needle valve there is a small spring against which the ball which is partially coming out leans. Being deformed, a spring демпфирует jerks of the lever of a float at fast movement of the car. Thanks to such adjustment fuel level in поплавковой to the chamber is supported to constants.
The valve needle is covered by the high-strength structure Viton, different special durability. Thanks to such covering high tightness of landing of knot is provided. The needle valve is calculated approximately on 150 000 km of run and additional regular service does not require.
At lowering of level of fuel in the chamber the float falls downwards and slightly opens the needle valve. Thus in the chamber the necessary additional quantity of fuel is pumped up. The increase in quantity of fuel leads to lifting of a float and automatic closing of the valve.
The carburettor is equipped also by the additional mesh filter. Filtering assemblage is established on an input in поплавковую the chamber and equipped by the ball valve which allows to make tap of surplus of fuel from the carburettor back in a fuel tank. Besides through the valve fuel evaporations at deenergizing of the hot engine are taken away. Valve presence also allows to avoid hit of steams of fuel in the carburettor at the working engine in hot weather that leads to infringement of stability of turns of the last.
The carburettor fastens to the inlet pipeline three bolts М6х20 through резинометаллическую a sealing lining, it is reliable герметизирующую a joint. The lining fastens on the inlet pipeline four bolts with heads under прутковый a key-shestigrannik.
Management of position throttle заслонки
The pedal of management throttle заслонки chambers I (a gas pedal) together with brake and coupling pedals is fixed by position on an arm of pedals in a driver's foot well. The pedal is connected with throttle заслонкой a steel cable in diameter of 1.6 mm and length 750 mm, the prisoner in a flexible cover. For the purpose of reduction of a friction the cable cover from within has a synthetic covering. Near to the carburettor the cable tip is filled in a clamp on the lever of a drive throttle заслонки. The way of fastening of a cover of a cable to an arm fixed on the case of the carburettor allows to regulate a backlash in the mechanism of a drive throttle заслонки. To a pedal the cable fastens by means of a plastic tip.
The course of a pedal of gas is limited screwed on a floor of salon by an emphasis.
Service
The following concerns number of procedures of service of the carburettor:
a) Check and adjustment of turns of idling;
b) Check and maintenance adjustment монооксида carbon (WITH) in the fulfilled gases of the engine;
c) Check and backlash adjustment in the mechanism of a drive throttle заслонки;
d) Replacement of the mesh filter located in an inlet branch pipe of the carburettor.
e) Adjustment of turns of fast idling
The listed operations, except for last, it is necessary to make during car warranty service, and then through 10 000, 30 000, 50 000 km of run, and further through each 20 000 km. Replacement of the mesh filter is made through 50 000 km of run.
Check and adjustment of turns of idling
During adjustment following conditions should be satisfied:
a) the Engine should be in good repair;
b) Engine oil should be recently replaced;
c) the Engine should be heated-up approximately to temperature 70°С (the arrow of the index is on the scale middle);
d) the Corner of an advancing of ignition should make 0 ° ÷ 2 °;
e) should not take place infringements of tightness of landing of the carburettor on the inlet pipeline and the pipeline on a head of cylinders;
f) Spark plugs should be tightened with demanded effort;
g) the new filtering element of an air cleaner (except the first guarantee survey) Should be established;
h) In system of a drive заслонки breaks of a cable and other malfunctions should not be throttle;
i) All consumers of the electric power (except ignition system) should be switched off;
j) the Ventilating hose connecting a head of cylinders with an air cleaner should be pressed;
k) the System of enrichment of an air-fuel mix should be disconnected - the screw (3) should not rest against a step pulley;
l) the air cleaner Thermostat should be serviceable.
Check is made by means of a tachometre. If the result of measurement of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft falls outside the limits an admissible range (Specifications see), it is necessary to make corresponding updating by rotation of the adjusting screw (1).
Check and adjustment of the maintenance WITH in the fulfilled gases
On the international norms the design of the power supply system of the car throughout 80 000 km of run should not suppose excess of admissible level of the maintenance in the fulfilled gases of the engine of toxic substances.

Proceeding from told, does not follow autocratically, for the purpose of improvement of indicators of the engine, to rotate the screw of adjustment of quality of a mix. If as a result of check it will be found out that level of the maintenance WITH in the fulfilled gases exceeds 0.5 ÷ 1.5 % only in this case it is necessary to make corresponding updating by rotation of the stipulated screw. |
The gas analyzer is necessary for carrying out of the given check. During check all should be satisfied listed above a condition. Besides it, it is necessary to make sure of tightness of a path of final system.
Check and backlash adjustment in the mechanism of a drive throttle заслонки
Manually turn рычажок the automatic starting arrangement clockwise and fix it in this position by a rubber bandage. At revealing excessive люфта a drive throttle заслонки (in the first phase of squeezing of a pedal engine turns do not increase), it is necessary to take a clamp and to move a cable cover in the holder so that the free wheeling size made 0.3 ÷ 2.3 mm. Do not forget to latch into place a clamp.
Replacement of the mesh filter

1. Replacement of the mesh filter is made through each 50 000 km of run. The filter is in an inlet branch pipe of the carburettor.

2. Loosen the a collar of fastening of a hose of giving of fuel.

4. Having pulled for a screw head, take the filter from a branch pipe. |
5. Fill the new filter in a branch pipe, then connect a hose of a gasoline pipe line and fix its collar. |

Check of level of fuel in поплавковой to the chamber
|
1. One of causes of infringement of stability of turns of the engine wrong installation of level of fuel in поплавковой to the carburettor chamber can be.
2. Remove an air cleaner (see Has undressed Service of assemblage of an air cleaner).
3. Turn out screws (with crosswise шлицами) fastenings of a cover of the carburettor to its case.

4. Make sure that fuel level in поплавковой to the chamber is on 8.5 ÷ 10.5 mm below an interfaced surface of the case of the carburettor. |

5. If level differs from the stipulated value, turn a carburettor cover so that it has accepted the position shown on an illustration and measure distance between the bottom of a float and a cover plane (the rating value makes 28 ÷ 30 mm).

During measurement the ball of the needle valve should not be wrung out a float shoulder. |

6. Possibility of updating of position of a float is not provided also its any changes can be connected only with infringement of tightness of assemblage.

Adjustment of turns of fast idling
