 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At installation of the pierced cranked shaft complete with firm loose leaves of manufacture of company Skoda necessity for checks described more low disappears.
2. Check of a working backlash in шатунных bearings should be made in the presence of the slightest doubts at an estimation of degree of deterioration шатунных shaft necks, and also after проточки a shaft and a complete set by its loose leaves of not firm manufacture. Check can be made one of two methods.

5. Lay along necks of cranks being in positions НМТ pieces of a plastic wire corresponding on length from a measuring set. Put on necks rods, establish to the place of a cover шатунных bearings and tighten nuts/bolts of their fastening with demanded effort. Try not to displace the pieces of the calibrated wire laid on necks of a shaft.
6. Without turning rods, remove covers and on degree of flattening of a wire define size of working backlashes of bearings. Measurement of a thickness of the flattened out wire is made on a scale put on packing to set Plastigage. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. If results of measurements differ from stipulated in Specifications, whether it is necessary to check up the established loose leaves are correctly picked up for the size. Make sure also that between backs of loose leaves and beds of bearings extraneous particles have not got. Once again measure diameters шатунных necks of a cranked shaft. If the width of the flattened out piece of the calibrated wire from one of the ends is more than with opposite, it is necessary to check up a corresponding neck of a shaft on presence excessive конусности. In case of need replace the loose leaf or give a shaft in проточку with a selection of new loose leaves of the corresponding repair size (with belittling). In summary cautiously scratch out traces of the flattened out wire from necks of a shaft edge of an old credit card. Turn a shaft, having resulted in positions НМТ pistons of the second and third cylinders and repeat check for the remained bearings.


Definitive installation of shatunno-piston groups

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Before the beginning of performance of procedure make sure of correctness of landing of sleeves in cylinders of the block and reliability of their fixing by special rectangular washers (the Section Cleaning and check of a condition of the block of cylinders/kartera of the engine see). A cranked shaft and covers of radical bearings should be finalised on the engine.
2. Wipe backs of loose leaves and enclose them in the beds in the bottom heads of rods and their covers. At installation of new loose leaves, track, that from them traces of preserving greasing have been completely removed - take advantage for rubbing of loose leaves by kerosene or other suitable solvent. Dry wipe pure loose leaves неворсящейся rags. The same rags wipe rods.
3. Densely plant loose leaves in bed, having tracked hit of directing uvulas in reciprocal samples in rods and шатунных covers. Try not to touch a working surface of loose leaves. Old loose leaves suitable for the further use should be established strictly in former positions.
4. Grease mirrors of cylinders, pistons and piston rings with pure impellent oil. Spread out shatunno-piston assemblages on a pure working surface as their installation on the engine.
5. Begin with installation of shatunno-piston assemblage of the first cylinder. Make sure that locks of piston rings on - former are developed the friend in relation to the friend under correct corners (the Section Installation of piston rings see). Press out rings оправкой the special tool.
6. At the top enter corresponding assemblage into the first cylinder of the engine a rod forward. Take care of casually not to scratch a cylinder mirror. Track, that the label in the form of an arrow on the piston bottom has appeared is directed towards an arrangement of drive ГРМ. Pay attention that the rod should appear will develop маслотоком also forward on the engine.

7. Упершись the wooden handle of a hammer in the piston bottom, push its skirt in the cylinder, densely having pressed to a block surface pressing out rings оправку the tool. 8. Make sure of correctness of landing in the beds of loose leaves шатунного the bearing. Plentifully grease a neck of the first crank of a cranked shaft with pure engine oil. With the same oil grease both loose leaves.
9. Watching to damaging a sleeve mirror, accurately put on the bottom head of a rod the neck of a shaft resulted in position НМТ.

10. Establish a cover шатунного the bearing, having tracked correctness of combination of landing labels.

11. Screw fixing nuts (ободком to a cover) and in stages in regular intervals tighten them with demanded effort. Check up freedom of rotation of a cranked shaft, then pass to installation of the next assemblage.

12. Operating in a similar manner, establish on the engine all remained shatunno-piston assemblages.
13. Check up freedom проворачивания a shaft. Presence of insignificant resistance quite naturally also speaks неприработанностью new components, however presence of obvious jerks and jamming points is not admissible in any way.


Engines of 1.6 l and diesel

1. As well as in radical, in шатунных bearings there should be strictly certain working backlash providing effective greasing of rubbing surfaces of sliding.
2. Lay the block of cylinders on a workbench картером upwards. Result cranks of the first and fourth cylinders in positions НМТ. Definition of size of working backlashes in bearings can be made one of two methods.

10. Equipped нониусной by a scale колумбусом measure internal diameter of the collected bottom heads of rods. Then measure external diameter of loose leaves. Subtract from results of the first calculation results of the second - the received size defines a pretightness of landing of loose leaves and should not be below the value stipulated in Specifications. Otherwise loose leaves are subject to replacement.

Diesel engines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At installation of new pistons or the new block of the truncated complete set it is necessary to check up height выступания the pistons resulted in position ВМТ over a head of cylinders for the purpose of selection of a demanded lining of a head.
2. Turn the block картером downwards and lay it on wooden blocks. Fix циферблатный a measuring instrument плунжерного type on the block, null it and press плунжер to the bottom of the piston of the first cylinder. Slowly turning a cranked shaft manually, spend the piston through ВМТ. Write down the indication.
3. Repeat procedure, having measured size выступания the piston of 4th cylinder, then turn a shaft on 180 and spend measurements for pistons of 2nd and 3rd cylinders.
4. If results of measurements differ from each other, as the basic indication it is necessary to take maximum. Compare result to requirements of Specifications.
5. At installation of old pistons suitable for the further use it is necessary to pick up the lining equal on a thickness of the old removed from the engine.
