Reduction of the piston of the first cylinder in position of the top dead point (ВМТ)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. As the top dead point (ВМТ) is called the highest point of a piston stroke in the cylinder. Generally speaking, in 4-taktnyh engines in the course of rotation of a cranked shaft the given position is reached by the piston twice: once in the end of a step of compression and the second - in the end of a final step. For performance of options of phases timing and installations of a corner of an advancing of ignition in overwhelming majority of cases it is used ВМТ the end of a step of compression of the piston of the first cylinder. Also it is accepted to name this position position ВМТ of the engine.
2. As the first is called the cylinder located in the right part of the engine (the nearest to газораспределительному to a belt). In the paragraphs resulted more low the description of procedure of reduction of the piston of the given cylinder in position ВМТ of the end of a step of compression is stated. Remember that normal it is considered rotation of a cranked shaft clockwise (looking from the right board of the car).
3. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. In case of need turn out all spark plugs (Routine maintenance see the Head) for the purpose of simplification проворачивания the engine.
4. On models with the ignition distributor release clamps and remove from the case of the distributor a cover together with connected to it ВВ wires.
5. Turn a steering wheel against the stop to the right. Turn out three screws of fastening of the right lateral section of protection картера and remove section for the purpose of providing of access to a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.

6. By means of the face key which has been put on a bolt of a pulley of a cranked shaft, turn the engine in a normal direction so that risk on an internal rim of a pulley of a cranked shaft it was combined with a zero mark put on a cover газораспределительной scale chains. On models without the risk distributor on a pulley can be absent, despite scale presence on a cover. In this case result the engine in position ВМТ, then put to risk independently (directly opposite to a zero mark of a scale).

7. After performance of the instructions resulted in the previous paragraphs in position ВМТ there will be pistons of the first and fourth cylinders of the engine. And in only one of them will be in the end of a step of compression.

8. On models with the distributor correctness of reduction of the engine in position ВМТ (the end of a step of compression of the first cylinder) can be checked up on nouse deployment бегунка aside risks on a rim of the case of the distributor. If бегунок will develop in an opposite side in the end of a compression step there is a fourth cylinder and a cranked shaft it is necessary to turn on one complete revolution (360 °) clockwise.

9. On models without the distributor acknowledgement of approach of the piston to position ВМТ of the end of a step of compression can be checked up on pressure increase in the cylinder. Stop up with a finger a candle aperture of the first cylinder and turn a cranked shaft until pressure in the cylinder will not rise to the maximum value.
10. That from starting position ВМТ of the engine to pass to positions ВМТ of the end of a step of compression of the remained cylinders (in the order of ignition - Specifications in the beginning of the Head see), it is necessary to turn consistently a cranked shaft clockwise on 180 °.
